Kathmandu: Rising stars Ashirwad B. Chhetri and Divya Rayamajhi are set to light up the silver screen as a romantic pair in the upcoming film Maya Preeti. Directed by Abhi Shrestha, the film promises a refreshing take on new-generation love through a blend of romance and comedy.

The production team confirmed that Chhetri, who gained recognition from his debut in Nai Na Bhanu La 6, has officially joined the cast of Maya Preeti. The project, which has been in development for some time, is being produced under the banner of 123 Studios Pvt. Ltd. in association with Livents Studios and began shooting in the first week of Jestha.

The film’s visual storytelling will be led by cinematographer Shyam Tamang, with shooting locations set across Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Bandipur, adding a scenic backdrop to the romantic narrative.

The film is produced by Subash Chandra Pradhan, with Nisha Adhikari and Santosh Kumar Karki on board as executive producers. Notably, Pranab Joshi, director of the hit film Resham Filili, will serve as the creative director, bringing his experience and creative flair to the project.

Described as a romantic comedy that reflects the aspirations and emotions of today’s youth, Maya Preeti is poised to deliver both entertainment and relatability. With a promising cast and a seasoned creative team, the film is highly anticipated among fans of Nepali cinema.
