‘Bau vs. Chhora’ Announced by Hostel 3 Team
Kathmandu: Following the success of Hostel 3, the creative team is back with a new socially driven film titled Bau vs. Chhora. The film is being produced by Samman Entertainment and will explore the clash of values, behaviors, and perspectives between two generations in Nepal.
Director Sashan Kandel shared that the movie will shed light on the evolving dynamics of intergenerational relationships, particularly between parents and youth in modern Nepali households.
Writer Madhav Sharma emphasized that the film delves into the rising generation gap in Nepal while also touching on addiction issues among the youth. The film’s title, designed by Royal Bhimsen, symbolically presents the conflict between a traditional ‘X Generation Father’ and a modern ‘Z Generation Son.’
This marks the second collaboration between Kandel and Sharma after the hit Hostel 3. The script is in its final stages, and the team—led by executive producer Shankar Koirala—will soon reveal details about the cast, shoot dates, and release schedule.
With a relatable theme and experienced team, Bau vs. Chhora aims to strike a chord with both older and younger generations in Nepal.
