Kathmandu: The 2nd International Nepali Film Fare Award (INFA) 2025 officially kicked off with a successful press meet and nomination certificate distribution ceremony at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu. The event saw the gracious presence of veteran Nepali film artists, filmmakers, and media professionals.
Following the tremendous success of the 1st INFA Award held in London in 2024, this year’s edition marks a significant milestone in the global promotion of Nepali cinema. The main award ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 13, 2025, at Greenford Hall in London, UK.
Hosted by INFA Events UK and INFA Nepal and supported by Manu Media, the event recognized the top five nominees across 17 competitive categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, Best Debut, and more. A total of 26 awards, including special honors like Lifetime Achievement (to Sharmila Malla), Performer of the Year, Jury Award, and Public Choice Award, will be presented at the London event.
Jury members Gauri Malla, Ramesh Budhathoki, and Karun Thapa ensured a fair, transparent selection from films released after Ashar-end 2081 BS. Chief Coordinator Manish Karki stated that INFA aims to elevate the Nepali film industry and celebrate its artistic excellence globally.
Celebrated personalities such as Nir Shah, Krishna Malla, Deepashree Niraula, Jeetu Nepal, Nita Dhungana, and Pushpa Khadka expressed optimism about the awards’ growing prestige and global reach.
The program also featured a video recap of last year’s event and best wishes from UK team members Umesh Moktan, Tank Bhattarai, Raj Pandey, and Ashish Pant, promising an even more elegant and impactful ceremony this year.
