‘Jante Bakhro’ Drops Third Folk Song ‘Muku Muku Mya’
Kathmandu: As the release date of the much-anticipated film Jante Bakhro approaches, the third song from the movie, Muku Muku Mya, has officially dropped. The film is set to hit theaters on 23rd Jestha.
The folk-style track, released on Wednesday, features vocals by Krishna Bharadwaj, lyrics by Nirvikalpam and Bharadwaj himself, and music composed by Rikesh Gurung “Keys.” Choreographed by Pradeep Lama, the music video showcases lead actors Saugat Malla, Garima Sharma, Asif Shah, Lokendra Lekhak, Bishal Pahadi, and Rama Thapaliya.
Muku Muku Mya beautifully highlights Nepali rural traditions and cultural customs. This follows the success of previously released tracks Ghamai Raja and Angoor Ko Jhuppo, both of which were well-received by audiences.
Directed by Simosh Sunuwar and presented by Muin Entertainment, Jante Bakhro blends elements of love, comedy, and socially rooted storytelling. The film also stars Ramesh Shah, Kamal Devkota, Sangita Sharma, Rusha Neupane, Kusum Sharma, and others.
The screenplay is penned by Pradip Bhardawaj, with cinematography by Hari and Uttam Humagain and editing by Sunil Shivabhakti. The story revolves around the tradition of the Jante Bakhra—a goat gifted to the bride’s family, often fed in open spaces during wedding rituals.
Produced by Santosh Gautam, Jante Bakhro aims to entertain while honoring age-old traditions of rural Nepal.
