‘Laaj Sharanam’ Completes 51 Days in 13 Theaters
The film ‘Laaj Sharanam,’ which was released on Falgun 14 on the occasion of Shivaratri, has entered its 51st day. The film, which has been running with high occupancy since its inception, is currently showing in 13 theaters across the country.
The film, made under the banner of JPT Creations, is being screened in major multiplexes in Kathmandu as well as in halls in Jhapa, Damak and Butwal, according to producer Navin Shresth. He claims that ‘Laaj Sharanam’ grossed Rs 1 crore 10 lakhs on its opening day, and the collection has crossed Rs 5 crore so far.
“Even on the 51st day, the enthusiasm of the audience has not diminished,” said producer Shrestha. “There is still good occupancy in the available shows.”
The film, based on the story of the Karnali region, stars actors including Sitaram Kattel, Mahesh Tripathi, Bijay Baral, Arjun Ghimire, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niraula, Renu Yogi, and Arpan Thapa.
The film’s cinematographer is Sudeep Baral, and it is co-produced by Ram Naresh Shah and Sirjana Khadka. This is the first feature film produced by the team behind the popular comedy TV series ‘Sakkigoni’ and is directed by Kumar Kattel.
