Pradeep Bhattarai Replaces Manoj Gajurel in Comedy Darbar

Kathmandu: Popular Nepali comedy television show Comedy Darbar has welcomed a fresh twist as renowned film director Pradeep Bhattarai steps in to play the role of ‘Maharaja.’ Bhattarai, previously seen as a judge on Comedy Champion, was spotted filming in this new royal avatar on Tuesday.

According to Gopikrishna Chapagain, the show’s media coordinator and guest management head, this is a temporary replacement. The original Maharaja, Manoj Gajurel, is currently on a Europe tour and is expected to return to the show in about a month.

Actress Gauri Malla continues to portray the role of ‘Maharani,’ maintaining the show’s signature blend of wit and satire.

Directed by Shraddha Prasai and Vicky Agrawal, Comedy Darbar has gained strong traction online. Its second season is currently airing, and many episodes have crossed millions of views on YouTube.

The entry of Bhattarai marks a refreshing shift in the show, as the duo Shraddha and Vicky continue to inject new energy into Nepali comedy television.
