The production of a new Nepali film, ‘Maina,’ has been announced. Producer Rajendra Dhakal (Rahul) has released the theme poster announcing the production of the film. The poster reflects the turmoil hidden within the calm surface of society, which gives it the hint of a crime thriller cinema.

The film is being directed by Chandra Kumar Bhattarai. This is Bhattarai’s first directorial debut after spending more than a decade as an assistant director. Bhattarai, who has experience as a co-director in popular films like ‘Summer Love,’ ‘Maruni,’ ‘Raja Rani,’ and ‘Seto Bagh,’ is set to make his directorial debut with ‘Maina.’

The film, written by Govinda Malla, will be produced under the banner of Sushmita Films. Rajendra Dhakal (Rahul) and Binita Sharma will be the main investors in the film, while Renu Sharma and Sushma Khatiwada are associated as co-producers.

As to the production team, the film’s filming will start in Bhadra. According to Director Bhattarai, the actors are still being chosen, and the identities will be revealed shortly.

The title of the film suggests that a female character will play the lead role, but the production team has remained silent on the matter for now. Similarly, it is said that the release date will be announced only after some time.
