Kathmandu: After months of silence and rumored tensions, popular folk singers Khem Century and Shanti Shree Pariyar have reunited for a brand-new release titled “Pardeshi Hunai Man Chhaina.” The song, which dropped on Monday, brings the iconic duo back together following speculation about a strained relationship.

The lyrics for the emotional folk track were penned by Bhupendra Budhathoki, a police inspector and lyricist, while the music was composed by Rishi Khadka and arranged by Binod Bajurali.

Khem and Shanti Shree have a long history of producing chart-topping songs. However, their last known collaboration was the hit “Areli Kadaile,” and fans had noticed their absence as a duo in recent months. Sources say that this latest track had actually been recorded a few months ago.

The music video for “Pardeshi Hunai Man Chhaina” stars Lalana Chimariya and Dona Thapa Magar. It was written and directed by Mausam Himali, with Buddha Thapa handling cinematography and Manoj Karki in charge of editing.

The song is now available for viewing on the official YouTube channel of lyricist Bhupendra Budhathoki, marking a heartfelt return of one of folk music’s most beloved singing pairs.
